Hey all. I hope y'all had a great Halloween. We did, here at the castle. :) Lots of reading, lots of fun on Halloween, tricks and treats and nice good times with the crazy denizens of the castle. :) Finished reading #3 in Susan Krinard's "Forester family" series, Secret of The Wolf. It was pretty good, if very different from the previous two; In a nutshell? It's the story of how Quentin went mad--very plausible, but in relation to the other two, very strange. Still, it was a good book, and we recommend it. Next on the TBR list, for the next year? A whole bunch of Stephanie Laurens. :) Until later, then.

Recently Read
Mood:  down
Now Playing: Bruce Dickinson--Chemical Wedding
Topic: reading
Three more books have been added to the recently read list:
The Prisoner Bride by Susan Paul
and
Raven's Ransom, by Haley Ann Solomon
The first was a Medieval Romance about the daughter of a very eccentric family who finds herself kidnapped in the name of her rival for the eccentric family's treasure; I liked that one very much, as you can see from the review I've added to Raven and Rose Cottage; The second was a Regency--and very cute--about three sisters and their grandfather's scheme to see them well-married. :)

And thirdly, but not least, Key of Light, by Nora Roberts. About three strangers brought to gether by an eccentric couple to go on a mythic quest to save the souls of three imprisoned demi-goddesses. :) Another excellent title by Ms. Roberts.

if you can find them, I reccomend them.

Have finished reading The Laughing Corpse. :) Enjoyed it *very* much. No wonder Lkh is so popular! Anyway, the next on the list will be her third, but right now, I'm taking a break (so as not to gobble all her oeuvre up in a sitting) and am reading Kim Harrison's Dead Witch Walking.

That's all for now. Have a great... erm, evening....

Just a quick note; Finished Guilty Pleasures this weekend. It's awesome. :) It took me a while to get into it, but in the end, I fell in love with Anita the Vampire Slayer (except, of course, that she *slays* those adorable vampires. *shudder* ;)) . It was a very enjoyable read, and am chomping at the bit--so to speak--to read a few more. :) Full review and Laurell K. Hamilton shrine will be forthcoming at Immortal Grace. Until then, happy haunting, all!
